Dover Massachusettes, a small town South of Boston, is home to something strange.
In 1977, on three separate sightings, a demon roamed in the dark of the night. Welcome to Massachusettes.
The Dover Demon was first reported on April 21, 1977. Three teenagers, Bill Bartlett (18), John Baxter (15), and Abby Brabham (16) all saw the strange creature on separate occasions. Bartlett and Baster saw the creature two hours apart, and Brabham caught sight of it the next night on April 22.
Their descriptions vary slightly, but they all agree on the main idea.
The Dover Demon stands 4 feet tall, is a tan to orange color, has a large bulbous head, no ears, and long limbs that end in claw-like fingers.
Bartlett drew what he saw when he got home. The drawing was featured in the news report.
The high school principal vouched for the teenagers when skeptics believed it was a plan to cause confusion and fear.
